Austin Museum Day

At the Neill-Cochran House Museum

September 20, 2020 | 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM CST

Austin Museum Day may feel a little different this year, but the Neill-Cochran House Museum is ready and excited to celebrate in a safe and socially distant way.

This year we will be celebrating outdoors with Civil War Reenactors and Victorian Ladies. Our shaded front lawn will be the perfect place to meet and learn about the Civil War and Victorian Eras. We will also have lawn games set up for family fun. Feeling hungry? Bring a blanket and enjoy lunch in the shade of our beautiful 100 year old pecan tree.

The museum will also be open to experience the groundbreaking exhibits If These Walls Could Talk and Reckoning with the Past: Slavery, Segregation, and Gentrification in Austin. Self-guided tours will be available to groups of six at 10 minute intervals.

In order to ensure the safety of all our visitors, performers, and staff, the Neill-Cochran House Museum will have various sanitation stations available and will require masks while on our site.
