Tasting Texas is a series of evenings celebrating the culinary traditions that make up Texas cuisine. Celebrated local chefs present menus that highlight a tradition of Texas cooking.
Austin has always been a culinary melting pot, whose residents (both enslaved and free) brought traditions from across the Eastern United States as well as from Africa, Germany, Sweden, Mexico, First Nations, and many other origin cultures.
Join the Neill-Cochran House Museum for an evening celebrating the many facets of Texas cuisine with some of Austin’s most transformational chefs! These chefs have each made their mark on the Austin dining scene and will share their thoughts on where we are today and how their personal journeys and Austin history play a role in their craft.
