Moth-Style Storytelling at the Neill-Cochran House Museum

Join us on the front lawn for a night of Moth-style true personal stories. Local comedians and storytellers tell personal tales on the grand NCHM porch. The theme of the show is Lost and Found, inspired by the exhibition, Texas Lost and Found by Lawrence Jolly, now on display at the NCHM. Scroll down to learn more about the storytellers.

Tickets: $15 for nonmembers, $10 for students, free for NCHM Members, and includes cocktails from event supporter Tequila 512. All proceeds support the Neill-Cochran House Museum.

STORYTELLERS

MORGAN DAVIS

Morgan Davis works with the Travis County District Attorney's Office, Special Victims Unit. He has worked for over 10 years in the District Courts of Travis County, specifically with the Child Protective Services program.

Davis is currently serving as Commissioner on the Austin City Council Human Rights Commission. Working with group such as Equality Texas, TENT and HRC, Davis has helped to foster a safe and nurturing environment for the LGBTQIA+ community. He also provides special advocacy on Transgender health care critical during the current political climate and continues to work to keep medically necessary care available to everyone.


KRISTEN DRENNING

Kristen Drenning is an Austin transplant, having grown up in Los Angeles. She hopes you won't hold that against her. Aside from storytelling, she spends most of her free time improvising.

GLORIA RABIL

Gloria Rabil is an experienced improv teacher and writer. She is a prolific author who frequently works as an editor and story consultant, helping other authors find the path of their stories.


KELLY ROTACH

Kelly Roatch moved to Austin by way of Colorado. She became interested in storytelling after reading Sapiens and learning how humans are the storytelling animal.

When Kelly is not telling stories she enjoys volunteering, mentoring at risk youth, hiking, and camping.


ALEX SHERBUCK

Alex Sherbuck escaped from a small town in Pennsylvania you've probably never heard of. He has been telling stories for just over a year and has previously told stories for Testify, and Merlin Work's Cauldron.


Susan Mack (Emcee)

A regular on the Austin storytelling performance scene, Susan Mack has more than 20 years experience with corporate and personal storytelling. She's currently pursuing her MFA with Vermont College of Fine Arts.
