STORYTELLERS
TODd Frank
Todd Frank is a fifth generation Houstonian who now calls Austin home. He’s spent the last 28 years writing proposals and leading marketing and communications teams for engineering and construction companies, but has spent 2024 working through his mid-life crisis by writing a memoir about his time as the jury foreperson on a high profile murder case. And earlier this year, he started telling stories on stages, something that terrifies him and simultaneously brings him great joy.
In his free time, Todd reads, writes, paints and spends time with his wife and son going to live music, hiking, kayaking and gardening. You can often find him in Barton Springs swimming like a frog.
jeff knight
Jeff Knight is a veteran Austin writer/performer of poems, songs, and stories. This is his second time at Stories on the Lawn. “Walmart Ring” is his newest story and is about a life-changing trip to New England.
Leta moser
Leta Moser can frequently be found zipping around Austin on her bicycle, eating fruits and nuts found on the ground, and eavesdropping on nearby conversations. In the absence of children, she names the objects closest to her, including her bicycle, ukulele, and electric mosquito-killing racket. She sees storytelling as part of her journey in finding her voice.
Lorraine Salome
For the past 20+ years, Lorraine Salome has spent her days surrounded by 10 year olds. She gets lots of storytelling practice daily, as her students make a sport of getting her off-topic so they don't have to learn too much about fractions.
Richard Ver steeg
Richard ver Steeg is a Software Engineer with a degree in English Literature and a love for sharing stories. Someday, he’ll decide what he want’s to be when he grows up. He and his family have lived in the Austin area for 16 years.
Susan Mack (Emcee)
A regular on the Austin storytelling performance scene, Susan Mack has more than 20 years experience with corporate and personal storytelling. She's currently pursuing her MFA with Vermont College of Fine Arts.
