"Let's take it from the top!" is what you'll hear said when musicians want to start at the beginning, so we're asking Austin's own harp and oboe ensemble Duo da Capo to start at the very beginning for the opening program of Beerthoven's Tenth Season; From the Top: A Duet for the Beginning of Time.
Featuring Sarah Oliver on harp and Jaleen Seshadri on oboe, this program of romantic and contemporary music will guide you through the story of creation, including works such as Oblivion by Astor Piazzolla, Great Day by Nancy Gustavson, and Song to the Moon by Antonín Dvořák. Creation artwork will provide a visual accompaniment to the performances. All will take place in the main gallery room inside the Neill-Cochran House Museum.
Beerthoven will be serving warm pastries and cold beer generously provided by Easy Tiger and Lazarus Brewing as well as wine and non-alcoholic beverages--all at no additional cost!
Kids are welcome! Tickets for children as well as students through college age are available for $10. Purchase at the door or email daniel@beerthoven.com for advance student tickets.
Free parking is available behind the Museum.
