If These Walls Could Talk
This year the Neill-Cochran House Museum has been the home of the provocative and groundbreaking exhibition If These Walls Could Talk. The Austin Studio tour will be your last chance to experience and hear what our walls are saying by taking a self-guided tour.
Take Home a Piece of the Exhibit
Did you know, many of the pieces in the exhibition are for sale? Just ask one of the Neill-Cochran House Museum staffers how you can take home your own piece of the shared pie!
Available with Museum Admission
Community Tour of African American History in Central West Austin
Last June we presented the sell-out driving tour of West Austin. Well now is your chance to take the tour everyone was talking about!
During the week of the Austin Studio Tour we will be offering everyone their chance to take the self guided driving tour in addition to their museum admission.
The tour begins at the steps of the Neill-Cochran House Museum where you will be able to pick up your materials for the driving tour. After taking your tour of If These Walls Could Talk, you will be able to embark on your journey through Central West Austin at your own pace. Don’t miss your chance to take this thought provoking and inspiring tour!
Beerthoven 360
Beerthoven is returning to NCHM!. During the first weekend of the Austin Studio Tour, Beerthoven will be returning to our front lawn for their special performance of Beerthoven 360: Sacred and Profane (learn more here). These performances will then be made available with Beerthoven Goggles (aka virtual reality headsets) at NCHM in addition to museum admission. Two Beerthoven Goggles will be made available to visitors in 15 minute increments. Visitors will be able to sit comfortably in one of our lovely antique sofas while they sit back and enjoy the show!
