Enjoy a celebration of the launching of the Austin Slave Quarters Experience. This event will take place throughout the Neill-Cochran House Museum site and highlight the ongoing work preserving and interpreting Austin’s only remaining slave quarters. The event will include live music featuring MICHEAL, Museum tours, living history activities like moveable-type printing, baskets weaving, and soap making. While visiting enjoy a Heritage Lunch on our spacious and shaded lawn. Then stick around for the presentation The Slave Dwelling Project: How Austin Fits In, featuring Joe McGill of the Slave Dwelling Project.
