Sunday Funday
Outdoor Fun for Kids
SIMPLE MACHINES
February 13, 2022 | 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM CST
Archimedes said, “Give me a place to stand and I will move the Earth.”
One Sunday a month, the Neill-Cochran House Museum welcomes children of all ages to a traditional activity in the lawn in front of the Museum.
This event will be hosted in partnership with Scouts BSA Bee Cave District, Troop #72. Join us as we appreciate 19th century engineering on a whole new level, and learn the amazing power of simple machines.
The Scouts will be building and demonstrating a monkey bridge - so, kids will have a chance to walk the bridge. They also will be teaching kids how to make rope out of twine, and the kids will be able to take their rope with them. All supplies will be provided, as well as staff, to help with instructions. This event is perfect for families with children ages 4-10.
Reservations are not required. Participation in Sunday Funday is free. Drop in anytime between 11:00am and 2:00pm to enjoy the activity. You are welcome to bring a lunch and enjoy it in the lawn. The Neill-Cochran House Museum is open for touring for throughout the activity, admission required.
